It ensures the safe, orderly and efficient use of civil aviation. In this capacity, its functions correspond to those of economic and commercial regulator, civil aviation safety and security oversight authority. It is responsible, on behalf of the State, for the regulation, development and implementation of the national aeronautical policy.
