Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP), Product
AIP: The AIP forms the basic element of the Aeronautical Information Products. It contains aeronautical information of a permanent nature and temporary changes to this information of long duration. It is the task of each AIS to provide a comprehensive document, to maintain it up to date and to make it simple to use.
AIP Amendments: AIP Amendments are issued whenever new information necessitates a permanent change or addition to the information already contained in the AIP
AIP Supplements: Temporary changes of long duration (more than three months) or changes requiring the issuance of extensive text and/or graphics which affect the contents of an AIP are published and distributed as AIP Supplements.
Aeronautical Information Circular (AIC): Provided for the possible need to distribute information that does not qualify for inclusion in the AIP or in NOTAM, Annex 15 includes specifications for Aeronautical Information Circulars (AIC). These cover such matters as long-term advance notifications of major changes in procedures or facilities, information of an explanatory or advisory nature, or information concerning administrative matters.
